UC Irvine Men's Tennis was a dominating force in the
1970's winning six Division II National Championships anchored
by Bob Chappell who won two singles and 1 doubles championship
in that time earning three All-American honors.
In the jump to Division I status, the team would continue their
success with consistent trips the the NCAAs led by 4-time
All-American Trevor Kronemann who appeared in NCAA action in each
of his four years.
Kronemann has since become the squad's head coach putting UCI
tennis back on the map with a return to the NCAAs in the last two
seasons.
