The men’s soccer program has developed into a nationally
recognized program, recording winning seasons five of the last six
years and winning four Big West championships. The Anteaters
advanced to the NCAA Tournament twice in the last three years and
were ranked a national seed on both occasions.
UCI’s longest post-season run was in 2008 when the program
reached the Sweet Sixteen.
UCI has had five Big West Offensive Players of the Year and head
coach George Kuntz has been named the conference’s Coach of
the Year three times.
Ten Anteaters have been drafted by Major League Soccer since
2006, including Seattle Sounders midfielder, Brad Evans, enjoying
his fifth year in the pro league.
